But who’s more intolerant?
How about leftist secularists like Maher?
To wit, a recent promo by an environmentalist group has a teacher blowing up some of her students simply for being insufficiently concerned about climate change.

Here are some quick thoughts . . .
As far as Maher is concerned, he makes several technical mistakes, confusing, for example, Sunday with the Sabbath and Judaism with Christianity.
But setting those details aside, a bigger mistake is his failure to recognize that for ancient Israelites, the Sabbath memorialized both the creation of Israel (Dt 5:12-15) as well as the creation of the world (Ex 31:16-17). Thus its violation (Num 15:32-36) was an act of both cosmic and national sacrilege.
A far bigger mistake though is his idea that elimination of religion would rid the world of intolerance.
It would not. Modern terrorism and the intolerance of leftist liberalism have a common birthplace in the French Revolution.
And the YouTube video of exploding kids illustrates that connection so well.
Granted, the video reflects bad judgment.
But it’s hard to envision an ancient Israelite dreaming about the possibility of stoning someone for Sabbath breaking.
Yet it’s not hard at all to imagine a leftist environmentalist fantasizing about doing something far worse to far more for far less.
