Reading in Communion deals with the relationship between the Bible and contemporary ethical issues. Its premises are that Christians must “embody” Scripture by developing moral and theological judgments needed to recognize Scripture’s claim on their lives.
Some say marriage should be a matter of “choice.” Some say it is defined by “commitment.” Others say neither of these is adequate. Something more is needed.
